With an admirable portfolio, Ed Freitas is a highly-regarded musician, an impressive performer touring globally with countless artists as a session drummer and with his mind-blowing Cyba-X outfit. He’s also in great demand as a drumming clinician, facilitator and regularly presents masterclasses worldwide, including specialist sessions at various establishments such as the Institute for Contemporary Music Performance in London. In the past two years alone (2009/10) Ed performed in 25 countries to audiences collectively numbering hundreds of thousands in over 500 shows.

Ed prides himself on numerous extraordinary accolades, not least he officially holds the Guinness World Record® for ’longest drum roll in a group’ (22 hours).

As a session drummer, Ed has recently been touring with and/or sharing the stage with various prolific artists which include amongst others the legendary ‘The Straps’, Yfriday, Zoro (drummer for Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Brown), Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne) and Gerald Heyward (Beyonce).

His work has also seen him play drums in films, theatre, big stage drum ensembles and recently even in the award winning independent movie called ‘In A Man’s World’.
