Chad Gamble

Chad Gamble is a professional musician living in Muscle Shoals, AL, playing and teaching drums. Originally from Tuscumbia, AL, he got started at an early age, receiving his first kit when he was 4 years old. He spent his childhood honing his ear with the help of his father’s extensive record collection, as well as playing music with his older brother on keyboards. After graduating from the University of Alabama, he moved to Shreveport, LA to join the national touring blues trio, The Bluebirds. From there he moved to Memphis where he played with many artists and bands including: Blind Mississippi Morris, Sideman Syndicate, Mason Ruffner, Preston Shannon, Ruby Wilson, A440, Reba Russell, Billy Gibson, Gamble Brothers Band, The Grip and others. He has also shared the stage with Chris Cain, Johnnie Bassett, Rufus Thomas, Eddie Floyd, Ace Cannon, the Memphis Horns and Steve Cropper. During his time in Memphis, Chad was nominated twice as “Premier Drummer” by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Memphis Chapter.
Currently, Chad is on tour with Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, an internationally touring act that is based in Muscle Shoals.
