Carlin Brown
Drumming came naturally to Carlin, who decided to teach himself to play at the age of 12. He improved his technique by playing with a number of bands in high school, and by the time he was 18, had recorded four full-length records. Carlin went directly on tour after graduating high school in 2000, and has consistently toured with other musicians ever since.
Moving from Harrisburg to Philadelphia in 2004 opened up a number of opportunities for Carlin and the bands he associated with. He has been lucky enough to share the stage with artists who influenced his music career, including (but not limited to) Stung Out, Less Than Jake, The Misfits, Jimmy Eat World, Leatherface, The Bronx, Bigwig, and most recently The Dead Kennedys.
Carlin currently plays with two very different bands. Dirty Tactics, an indie pop-punk band, who recently returned from 2 months in Europe following the release of their album “It Is What It Is”. And Restorations, a unique shoe gaze band, who just finished recording full length album to be released sometime in 2011, with an intensive touring schedule to follow.
